Samantha "Cakes" Leigh artistic director of Project S.L.I.D.E. & S.L.I.D.E Dance Studios and native of South Carolina , began dancing at the tender age of two. She started her professional training at the University of MN where she received her BFA in Dance. She has taught dance for 15 years and has created several dance troupes. Her love of hip hop dance led her to Atlanta, Ga where she made her dreams a reality. She has been touring with the legendary group Bell Biv Devoe for one and a half years. She has performed for artist such as Lloyd, D.Woods (Danity Kane), Ying Yang Twins, and for Chris Rock’s hit movie “Good Hair”!! She has choreographed for her dance troupe Nexphayze and several new artist. She has created S.L.I.D.E. Dance Studios & Project S.L.I.D.E. to continue to share her love of dance to other aspiring artists all over the world as well as save lives through the wonderful art of dance!!!!
